Roping in Ruston

Hundreds of ropers from surrounding states converged on Ruston, LA Sunday. They were here for a TR-USA team roping. Team Roping-USA is a company that organizes and manages team ropings events. They have a series of team ropings in Louisiana and Texas. This one was at the Ruston Exhibition Center, in the North Louisiana. The TR-USA awards prize money and saddles to the winners. One of the saddle winners was Harvey Patton. Harvey Patton is a native of Northeast Louisiana and is part of a family owned business, Patton Western Wear in Ruston, LA.

“Team Roping USA is a Family owned Roping Company. We felt that there was a need for affordable Team Ropings that would start on time and be run by a set of rules to benefit the ropers and their families. With the input from many of you, the ropers, TR-USA has set a format that we feel can and will be profitable to the roper as well as your family. When you started playing this game it was fun. Let’s put the fun back in to Team Roping because we all know winning is fun!”

The Team Roping USA 2010 Finals will be held on April 22, 23, 24, & 25 2010 in Kinder, Louisiana. It will be located at the Coushatta Casino & Resort. For more information contact:
